Healthy Fries - Loni Jane Inspired
I was reading through Loni Jane’s online blog earlier, starting from her very first post, up until her most recent. She is a plant based organic lifestyle blogger from Australia. She was one of the first social media food bloggers who started to take photos of her healthy meals and pretty ingredients and post them. I find myself always gravitating and loving what she is sharing on her site or her social media. She really inspires me and seems authentic the way she shares her life with the world. I think it’s amazing she inspires others to live a healthy, plant based lifestyle, we need more people in the world like her. I love when you find someone who’s life you enjoy reading about and genuinely look forward to reading or listening to what they have to share. I really love her posts and her podcats. Thanks LONI!
A healthy fries recipe came up on her blog and I couldn’t stop thinking about fries all day! I am really focusing on eating similar to her, organic whole foods and plant based.
The difference between her fries and fast food/frozen restaurant fries, is that they actually have nutrients in them, they aren’t loaded with artificial ingredients, deep fried in canola oil and sprinkled with table salt. Her fries are baked, they have turmeric, himalayan pink salt, no oil and dipped in a avocado mash with lemon. The recipe she shares is so easy, it’s healthy and I had all the ingredients already at home to make them. You can eat these fries without all the guilt!
Even though my kitchen lighting isn’t the best, I snapped a few photos tonight of the fries I made to share with you.
Here is the link to her recipe on her site! http://www.feelthelean.com/healthy-fries/
I “spiced” my fries up a bit by tossing the baked wedges in chopped serranos and fresh cilantro/parsley. I did use olive oil on the bottom of my pan to keep the fries from sticking too. I have learned not to overcrowd your fries in the pan, it will allow them room to get crispy.
Hope you enjoy xo
